Here we see the six dancers performing a dance on the tip of Pike Island, before they all dispersed to their own sites. At the same time, we see what their dancing hand cameras recorded, catching sky, sand, and body parts.

These dance movements were created by the six dancers. At first, each dancer chose one of the 12 points of the icosahedron; next they each took a second point, so that all 12 points (4 diameters of the three planes) were “touched” while they were moving. Then we went down to the Mississippi River, and all were asked to commune with the river, and come up with a phrase that would connect to the river yet still touch their two points. The Artistic  Director edited these into a short dance.

Music

Watch the Space Harmony sequence with different music: The first video is set to “Opening” by Phillip Glass and the second is set to Kris and Nathan Gebhard’s marimba and conga music.
