360°: The Dancers’ View
Part of the Confluence project was experimenting with the two simultaneous points of view: the regular “outside eye” camera filming the dancers as they performed, but also, each dancer filming from a small camera strapped to their left hand as they danced.
The dancers, with their left hand extended in order to procure a steady 360° shot, were each asked to createtheir own moves. The Artistic Director edited these six phrases into one movement phrase, withy each dancer supplying 30°. In this way, the dancers are able to film their sites while performing an visually interesting short dance.
This triptych shows three juxtaposed panoramas mixed with the dancers performing the short 360° dance.
