Mississippi Dances, a two-pronged project conceived by Marylee, was executed with the aid of two different Artist Initiative grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board. Marylee was the fiscal year 2015 and the fiscal year 2017 recipient of that notable grant. The grant is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant by the National Endowment for the Arts.
