Minneapolis, MN
as part of a global performance
Minneapolis, along with 59 other cities around the world, came together on June 25, 2011 creating the united site-specific performance,Global Water Dances. Each location had two parts: one local, bringing attention to their local water issue, and one global, which connected everybody through shared choreography. Using GSP’s history of intertwining environment with site-specific performance as the template, this global dance worked to help raise awareness of the need for global access to clean water and the polluting of all water on earth.
