patzSarah Anne Patz has taught and performed in the field of movement arts for thirty years. She is a former director of Off Track Dancers, a St. Louis based company known for its collaborations and improvisational performances with visual artists and musicians. Sarah Anne has trained in the art of Contemplative Dance/Authentic Movement and currently teaches Authentic Movement at Washington University and facilitates adult workshops in Contemplative Dance. She teaches creative dance to young children, and has recently returned to performing with independent choreographers. She holds a B.A. in dance from Washington University and an M.A. in Body Therapies from Lesley University.

 

 

 

voightBeckah Voigt is an associate professor of dance at Webster University (1986-Present),teaching all levels of modern technique, composition, improvisation and dance history. She is also the artistic director of ANNONYArts, formerly Gash/Voigt Dance Theatre of St. Louis. ANNONYArts is a company dedicated to the creation and performance of new works and to the exploration of subtle energies in the healing arts. Beckah’s choreography is best described as theatre dance, as she draws on the use of props, voice and the motivation of human interactions to create her pieces.

 

Andrea SmytheAndrea Smythe is a professional dancer and instructor at the East St. Louis Performing Arts Center (formerly known as the Katherine Dunham Center for the Performing Arts), Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, East St. Louis Center. She studied dance under Lucille Ellis, Katherine Dunham, Archie Savage, Alcine Wiltz, Norman Davis and Tommie Gomez.. Andrea has performed with the Katherine Dunham Dance Company at Carnegie Hall (New York) and Keil Opera House (St. Louis) and was featured with the Cossane Dance Company in the opening of Disney World's Epcot Center in Orlando, Florida. Andrea has a family of performers: her son Ashi Smythe is a featured dancer with the current New York Broadway production of The Lion King and her daughter, Samoria performs with the youth company at the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville - East St. Louis Performing Arts Center.
